General Information

Harborne Cricket Club was founded in 1868 and is one of the leading clubs in the Midlands. We are proud that we have a thriving youth section and we provide a comprehensive programme of cricket coaching and matches for our youth members.  Cricket is an ever growing sport, a wonderful team game, and not to mention the social interaction that the children experience in a club environment with their peers.

Girls and boys from ages 4 through to 16 are welcome to join our coaching sessions. These are held at the club, with squad sessions being held on a Friday evening ( for the more experienced cricketer ) as well as softball and hardball development groups on Monday and Tuesday evenings.  Youth cricketers are encouraged to work towards joining our team squad sessions.

All our sessions are managed and run by our team of ECB registered and qualified coaches.

We enter the youth competitions run by the Warwickshire Cricket Board at various age levels.

We have links with Warwickshire Cricket Board and many children within our youth section have been successfully nominated and are now taking part in the district and county programmes with a view to representing Warwickshire at various age groups.

Our main aim is to ensure that cricket is fun and rewarding and each child is encouraged to develop their skills at their own pace.

Harborne CC are very proud of its youth section and are always looking to improve and expand to give more children opportunities to learn and develop their skills through training and matchplay.  Come and be a part of it!

Aside from the coaches, all the managers and administration of the Youth Section are volunteers. As such we respectfully request that they are treated in the ' spirit of cricket'.
